I am beyond excited to join the team at Ascent and call Utah my new home! I was born and raised in Indiana and just recently moved to the Salt Lake area. For the past three years, I’ve worked as an administrator in an elementary school, following seven years of experience as a middle school social studies teacher.

Education and learning have always been central to my life. I earned my undergraduate degree in sociology from Purdue University and later completed my M.S. in School Administration at Indiana Wesleyan University. Beyond formal education, I actively pursue topics that interest me through reading, discussion, or diving into trivia. One of my long-term goals is to one day appear on Jeopardy!

Some of my interests outside of school are sports, movies, and anything involving the outdoors. One of the reasons I chose Salt Lake City is because of the stunning natural beauty of the area. Every time I see the mountains, I’m truly awestruck as they are such a striking contrast to the flat plains of the Midwest. I’m incredibly thankful to be here and excited about the opportunity to help students and staff reach their highest potential.
