Mrs. Ferguson has been working at LPA for almost 7 years; 5 years as an instructor in grades K-6th and 2 years as a 1st grade teacher. She graduated from Salt Lake Community College in 2000, and is continuing her education at Western Governor's University. She is very passionate about learning and hopes to inspire that same love of learning in her students. She is especially passionate about literature and history. Mrs. Ferguson strives to create a positive culture in her classroom where her students feel important, encourage each other, and where her students can learn and grow together. She loves helping her students persevere through challenges, both great and small, that allow them to develop the self confidence that comes from not giving up. She hopes all her students leave 1st grade knowing that they are each amazing and unique individuals with incredible potential. She enjoys teaching lessons that are challenging and engaging, and loves spending each day in her classroom with her students. Mrs. Ferguson loves the LPA community and feels so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such amazing students, parents and staff every day. Mrs. Ferguson has 4 children who have all been students at LPA throughout their elementary schooling. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her husband and kids making memories. She loves being outdoors, hiking, gardening, reading, embroidery, and visiting museums.
